چکیده

High-temperature hydrothermal activity areas in western Sichuan Province, China are ideal objects for studying deep Earth science, extreme ecological environments, and comprehensive geothermal utilization. To understand the geochemical characteristics of rare elements (REEs) Chaluo hot springs authors analyzed composition fractionation REEs through hydrochemical analysis, REE tests, North American Shale Composite-normalized patterns. Moreover, complex species water area were determined calculation simulation analysis using Visual MINTEQ 3.0 software. The results as follows. In terms type, all is Na-HCO 3 type. cations mainly controlled by water-rock interactions evaporation, anions interactions, processes primarily dissolution silicate minerals. total content 0.306 ± 0.103 ug/L. It low compared to Kangding affected reductive Fe oxides/hydroxides, followed pH. rich light (LREEs) because presence oxides. shows positive Eu Ce anomalies due combined effects Eh Mn oxides surface water. Furthermore, also caused between Qugasi Formation Similar alkaline bodies, include Ln(CO ) 2 − , LnCO + LnOH 2+ which stability constants complexation reactions.

Hydrochemistry of the Hot Springs in Western Sichuan Province Related to the Wenchuan MS 8.0 Earthquake

Hydrogeochemistry of 32 hot springs in the western Sichuan Province after the Wenchuan MS 8.0 earthquake was investigated by analyzing the concentrations of cation and anion and the isotopic compositions of hydrogen and oxygen. The water samples of the hot springs were collected four times from June 2008 to April 2010. Hydrogeochemical data indicated the water samples can be classified into 9 c...

Geochemical fractions of rare earth elements in soil around a mine tailing in Baotou, China

Rare earth mine tailing dumps are environmental hazards because tailing easily leaches and erodes by water and wind. To assess the influence of mine tailing on the geochemical behavior of rare earth elements (REEs) in soil, sixty-seven surface soil samples and three soil profile samples were collected from different locations near China's largest rare earth mine tailing. The total concentration...

Echinococcosis in Tibetan Populations, Western Sichuan Province, China

We screened 3,199 people from Shiqu County, Sichuan Province, China, for abdominal echinococcosis (hydatid disease) by portable ultrasound combined with specific serodiagnostic tests. Both cystic echinococcosis (CE) (Echinococcus granulosus infection) and alveolar echinococcosis (AE) (E. multilocularis) were co-endemic in this area at the highest village prevalence values recorded anywhere in t...

Geochemical characteristics of rare earth elements in different types of soil: A chemometric approach.

Rare earth elements (REEs) are becoming significant due to their huge applications in many industries, large-scale mining and refining activities. Increasing usage of such metals pose negative environmental impacts. In this research ICP-MS has been used to analyze soil samples collected from former ex-mining areas in the depths of 0-20 cm, 21-40 cm, and 41-60 cm of residential, mining, natural,...

Role of hot springs’ hydrochemistry in Balneotherapy, Case Study: Fotoyeh and sanguyeh springs, western Hormozgan

Introduction: Hydrochemical properties of waters used in balneotherapy are very important, as they play a key role in success or failure of this kind of treatment. There are 30 mineral and hot spas in Hormozgan Province, Southern Iran, which are traditionally used for treating diseases. In this study, hydrochemical properties of Fotoyeh and Sanguyeh Springs, in western Hormozgan Province, are d...
